1. Introduction

This website (WEBSITE) is operated by Health Point Dr. Klein AG ( WEBSITE or “we,” “us”). We take the protection of personal data very seriously. We want you to know what data we collect, store, and process. In doing so, we comply with the requirements of applicable data protection laws.

2. Who is the data controller for data protection purposes?

We are the data controller, as defined by data protection laws, for the collection, processing, and use of your personal data.

Dr. Klein and Partners will be responsible for your care from the start of treatment and will be available to address any medical concerns you may have. They will explain the exact course of treatment and any potential risks to you. Medical records can be requested by the patient from their primary care physician or hospital. You grant us permission to transmit the requested data to your health insurance provider’s medical examiner.

3. What data is collected and processed, and for what purposes?

a. In general

We generally process our users’ personal data only to the extent necessary to provide a fully functional website and our content and services. The processing of our users’ personal data is typically carried out only with the user’s consent. An exception applies in cases where obtaining prior consent is not possible for practical reasons and the processing of the data is permitted by law.

We process your data for various purposes, which can be summarized in the following categories:

i.Services: We store and process your personal data for the purpose for which you voluntarily provided it to us in connection with our service offerings.
ii.Communication: We store and process personal data for the provision, administration, and execution of customer communication via mail, telephone, and electronic means of communication. This also includes the organization and conduct of market research and opinion polls.

WordPress is used to provide an online appointment booking service.

f) Use of our appointment scheduling tool

We offer you the option to book an appointment using the booking tool provided on our website. To use these features, we need to store your name, a valid email address, phone number, and other contact information. Data processing for the purpose of contacting us is carried out in accordance with the DSG based on your voluntary consent. The personal data we collect when you use the contact form will be automatically deleted once your inquiry has been processed.

Data processing for the purpose of booking an appointment with us is carried out in accordance with the DSG based on your voluntary consent. The provider, Squarespace, is a U.S. company headquartered in New York City (Squarespace, Inc., 225 Varick Street, 12th Floor, New York, NY 10014). The use of Squarespace is in the interest of providing an online appointment booking option.

4. Use of Cookies

Our WEBSITE uses cookies. Cookies are text files that are stored in or by the user’s web browser on the user’s computer system. When a user visits a website, a cookie may be stored on the user’s operating system. This cookie contains a unique string of characters that allows the browser to be uniquely identified when the website is visited again.

We use cookies to make our website more user-friendly. Some features of our website require that the browser used to access the site can be identified even after the user navigates away from the site. The following data is stored and transmitted via these cookies:

We primarily use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. To disable Google Analytics, Google provides a browser add-on at http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de.

Google Analytics uses so-called “cookies,” which are text files stored on your computer that enable an analysis of your use of the WEBSITE (see above). Using the remarketing feature from Google and other providers, we reach users who have already visited our WEBSITE. a. We use social media to showcase our work through popular and up-to-date communication channels. For example, if you watch one of our videos on YouTube, you must explicitly consent to the use of cookies on the YouTube website. The same applies to Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, XING, and LinkedIn.

b. Our website incorporates plug-ins from various providers, such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Google+. These plug-ins are identified by the provider’s logo and may include, for example, “Like” buttons, a Google+ button, or a Twitter button (for an example, see this overview of Facebook plug-ins: http://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/).

When you visit our website, the plug-in establishes a direct connection between your browser and the provider. This informs the provider that you have visited our website using your IP address. Please note that we have no knowledge of the content of the transmitted data or how it is used by the respective providers. For information on the purpose and scope of data collection, the further processing of your data by the provider, as well as your rights in this regard and options for protecting your privacy, please refer to the providers’ privacy policies.

7. Sharing of Your Information

By using the WEBSITE and its services, the user agrees that their data may be transferred to and processed by third parties. This may occur not only to fulfill the purpose specified by the user, but also for the purposes of group-wide accounting, reporting, optimization of IT services, and marketing. In doing so, we ensure compliance with the principles of Swiss data protection law or an equivalent level of protection abroad. Our service providers are contractually obligated to process personal data exclusively on our behalf and in accordance with our instructions. 8. How long will my data be stored?

All stored personal data will be immediately and permanently deleted as soon as it is no longer needed for the purposes for which it was collected, the user agreement has been terminated, or you request it, unless we are required by law to retain it. However, aggregated or anonymized data that does not identify the user may continue to be used for internal purposes.

9. How do we protect your data?

We have implemented technical and organizational measures to ensure that data protection regulations are observed both by us and by external service providers working on our behalf. When data is transmitted unencrypted over an open network (for example, when you send us messages or other information), it may be read, altered, or destroyed by unauthorized third parties. Any transmission of data to or from the WEBSITE is therefore at the user’s own risk.
